Thanks for dropping by and happy late Summer! I’ve had a great summer, full of both wonderful music and family time. My week at the SAMW (Summer Acoustic Music Week), at the beautiful Geneva Point Center on Lake Winnipesaukee in New Hampshire, was simply fabulous, and I’m thrilled to have been invited back for next summer’s camp. The students in my music theory and singing classes were a delight, deeply engaged and a pleasure to share music with. One of the highlights for me personally was to reconnect with the other instructors, many of whom I knew from previously, but hadn’t seen in decades. My younger daughter’s family visited from Berlin for a month, and we spent one of those weeks at a CDSS family dance camp in Maine. Again, a lovely immersion in music and dance, and a joy to share it with my daughter and her family. Now that fall approaches, I look forward to singing at the Ashfield Fall Festival in October, and to finally making it back to Philadelphia and northern Maryland on November 7th and 8th. Info on all of that on my Concert Calendar.
Videos are available on YouTube from a couple of my spring concerts. My concert with Anand at the Vanilla Bean is still available to watch here. And there’s a clip from a solo set I sang in Songs Of Freedom, a benefit concert in my new home town of Troy, NY here. It is sheer joy to be singing again, and as always, but especially in these fractured times, I’ve been really happy to share that joy with you! See the Concert Calendar page for details on upcoming events. I’m adding concerts periodically, so please check back for updates. And if you’re connected to a folk venue or would like to host a house concert within reasonable driving range from Troy, NY, I’d love to sing for you! More info on that here.
All my albums are now available for download right here on my website! This includes all of my regularly-released albums, from 1978 to the present*, plus 4 special edition collections with Anand Nayak. These are collections of 19-20 seasonal songs from my Come Jam With Me curriculum, recorded live in the studio with Anand and myself. The songs are simple and straightforward enough for students in K-2, but musically sophisticated enough for the grownups who also participated in class and sang the songs at home. If you’d like to check them out before making a serious commitment, they’re also available on my Bandcamp page, where you can listen before you buy. There are now optional Songbooks for all 4 seasonal song collections!
While you’re here, I hope you have fun exploring – there’s lots here to poke through. Sign up for my email list, order CDs from my Store, download old albums or new song collections, find song lyrics, and browse through archives of reviews, photos, and musings from over the years.
If you don’t see something you’re looking for, it might be in our old site. All that material is available here: Lui’s previous site.
Check out my FACEBOOK ARTIST PAGE for links to videos from a concert I did in July 2019 with Anand Nayak, recent photos, and more.
Also note that all videos of my music on YouTube, even those posted by others, are now consolidated onto my own YouTube artist channel. So it’s easy to find me, just go to my channel – and if you subscribe if you’d like, you’ll hear about new videos, as they’re added.

*Please note that downloads of my albums may not contain all of the songs on the original LP or CD releases. The download versions include original and traditional songs, plus all others for which I’ve been able to obtain permission to offer downloads. Thanks for understanding.
